Ear Candling

Ear Candling

Ear Candling is a safe, simple, natural way to remove excess wax and debris from inside the ears. Long tapered candles are inserted gently into the ears, and then lit. The candle creates a slight vacuum effect, oxidizing, vaporing and drawing softened wax and debris from the ears. This is a very gentle and non-evasive process.

How does the Ear Candling work?

As the candle burns, smoke moves the debris out of the ear. Osmosis (diffusion through a semi-permeable membrane, e.g., skin) plays and important role as the smoke smoothes the sinus and nasal cavities. Excess air wax is moved through the ear canal into the cone.

Does Ear Candling hurt?

No. Most people experience gentle warmth in the ear canal which has a soothing, relaxing effect. There is a slight crackling sound as the candle burns.

How does a session last?

Sessions are approximately one hour. Each candle burns for about 20+ minutes and one candle is burned in each ear.

What are some of the reported benefits?

Relieves pressure in ear canal and sinus, improves hearing, safe removal of excess wax, helps balance & equilibrium including vertigo, helps eliminate ringing & itching in the ear, fewer ear aches & infections, fewer ear-related headaches, feeling of cleanliness and helps fight infection.

Who would benefit from Ear Candling?

Most everyone, but especially those who work outdoors, are in dusty environments, participate in water activities, have chronic ear aches, have allergies, feel blockage in the ears, wear hearing aids, have sinus infections and have excess wax build up.

Ear Candling should not be done in the following situations:

Recent ear surgery, cysts in the ear, mastoiditis in its acute phase, ear drains (tubes), recent ear injury or damage to ear drum, artificial ear drums and tumors of the ear.
