Medical Massage Therapy
Medical Massage Therapy is results oriented in that it is used to facilitate a specific outcome in order to treat a diagnosis given by a doctor. It typically involves use of more advanced massage modalities including Neuromuscular Treatment, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point or Lymphatic Drainage.
Medical Massage Therapy can be instrumental in treating disorders of the soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments) and nerves. This includes, but is not limited to treating repetitive motion injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, rotator cuff injuries, muscle spasms, chronic headaches, whiplash, neuromuscular conditions, back pain, neck pain, range of motion restrictions, sciatica, piriformis syndrome, TMJ, work injuries, auto injuries, fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitus, tennis elbow, swelling, edema, pregnancy soreness, and thoracic outlet syndrome.
